The ingredients needed to cook Mushroom Gravy:
- Get 200 gm of Mushroom.
- Use 2 of medium sized tomatoes.
- Provide 2 of medium sized onions.
- You need 2 of green chillies.
- Use 2 tsp of Curry leaves.
- Take 2 tsp of chopped coriander leaves.
- Get 2 of Elachi/Cardamom.
- Provide 2 of Pattai/Cinnamon stick.
- Get 1/2 tsp of Jeera/Cumin seeds.
- Take 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- Provide 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
- Provide 1 tsp of Coriander powder.
- Use 1 tsp of Garam Masala.
- Use 1 tsp of Ginger-Garlic paste.
- Get 3 tbsp of Oil.
- Prepare as needed of Water.
- You need to taste of Salt.
Steps to make Mushroom Gravy:
- First chop onions, tomatoes, chillies, coriander leaves, green chillies and take few curry leaves.
- Now take equal proportions of ginger and garlic for ginger garlic paste. Peel the skin of ginger and garlic. Use a mortor to make it into a paste(You can also use a mixer to make it into a paste).
- After completing all of this, chop the mushroom as shown in the picture and put it into a bowl containing water(This avoids the mushroom from darkening).
- Now add 3 tbsp of oil to a kadai or pan followed by adding 2 cardamom, 2 cinnamon sticks and 1/2 tsp cumin seeds. Give it a nice mix..
- Then add the chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves all at a time..
- Saute all of it until the onion turns golden brown, then add ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and coriander powder..
- Saute this until the raw smell of ginger garlic paste and the masalas is gone.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes and a little water.
- Saute it until the tomatoes are cooked(i.e, when the oil separates from the gravy). Now add the required amount of salt for the gravy.
- Now remove the soaked mushroom from water and add it to the gravy and cook it for at least 3 or 4 mins.
- After 3 or 4mins, you will see water coming out from the mushroom. If you are okay with the consistency of the gravy, cook it for another 8 or 9mins.(I didn't add extra water, as I was okay with the shown consistency).
- If not, add required amount of water and cook it for the same stipulated time. After this add the chopped coriander leaves and switch off the stove..
- Your yummy,tasty and a non- vegetarian like Mushroom gravy is ready.
